Job DetailsWe are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead the commercial performance, customer relationships, and operational success of an established multi-location territory.
This individual will provide leadership across sales, branch operations, customer service, and technical support while helping develop strategy, improve execution, and drive profitable growth throughout the region.
This role combines leadership, technical sales, business development, financial management, and operational oversight, making it an outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys building teams while remaining connected to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a regional team across multiple branch locations including Outside Sales, Branch Management, Customer Service, Retail Operations, Warehouse, and Assembly personnel.
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies that increase market share, expand existing customer relationships, and win new business.
- Partner with strategic customers to understand operational challenges and recommend engineered industrial solutions.
- Lead high-value customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and RFQ responses.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, and ongoing development.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on pricing strategy, supplier relationships, marketing initiatives, and territory planning.
- Manage regional budgets, operating expenses, inventory performance, and profitability.
- Utilize metrics and KPIs to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and improve execution.
- Foster a culture focused on accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Support technical training initiatives that strengthen both employee development and customer relationships.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Proven success leading B2B technical sales or industrial distribution teams.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and performance metrics to drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience within industrial distribution, fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, motion control, automation, or related technical industries.
- Previous leadership experience managing sales or branch teams.
- Experience supporting OEM and MRO customers.
- Technical education or industry certifications are beneficial but not required.
